Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page promises ‘surprising’ new material. Page shed a little light on the new material, saying: "It will be surprising… I'd like to obviously show what I've done along the way, but I'd definitely have musical surprises for people so they wouldn't sort of start yawning". RECORDING COMPANIES:

Generation Prog Records
(USA) / December 28, 2014

Forthcoming release:

  • Theo – “Theo”

The American progressive rock band Theo will release its self-titled debut album on January 27, 2015, via the US label Generation Prog Records. Formed by world reknown keyboardist Jim Alfredson (Dirty Fingers, Janiva Magness, Greg Nagy Band, Root Doctor) Theo harkens back to the keyboard-centric superbands of the ‘70s like Yes, Genesis, and Emerson Lake and Palmer, but with a distinctly modern and bold approach. The album also represents a return to the concept of the keyboardist as a vital and irreplaceable part of the group, rather than a mere sideman.

  • Simeon Soul Charger – “A Trick of Light”

The US band Simeon Soul Charger will release its new album, “A Trick of Light”, on January 30, 2015, through the German label Gentle Art of Music. In terms of the songwriting process, the band explored a new approach this time, by working as a collective at all times. The record combines ingredients such as psychedelic, folk, blues, progressive and stoner rock with a lot of enthusiasm, musical virtuosity, as well as a lyrical concept that seduces the listener to become a part of the Simeon Soul Charger shadow play, where nothing is, as it seems.
