Taylor's Universe
(Denmark) / November 25, 2015

Forthcoming release:

Taylor's Universe releases a new CD, titled “Across the Universe”. This compilation is not an album of previously released material, but is a collection of reworked versions of some of Robin C Taylor's favorite tracks from recent years; as said, reworked with the purpose of making the material sound, just as Mr. Taylor wanted it to sound in the first place. It's always time for improvements, and this special album is meant to be the album to start with for curious listeners, who never got the chance to explore what Taylor's Universe has to offer. Regular fans of the group, will, hopefully, also concider the album worth adding to their collections, as it contains quite a lot of new and fresh ideas. “Across the Universe” also marks that Mr. Taylor is now in a position that makes him a 'veteran' in the field of progressive music; some 25 years ago, he became part of the recording business by releasing his debut album. The name, Taylor's Universe, appeared for the first time on record in 1994, and the group (who has never had a life outside the recording studios) has been spitting out albums regularly ever since to much acclaim from the media, but unfortunately without much attention from the public. But it's never too late, and for people, who didn't catch the train on time, “Across the Universe” would be the perfect place to start their journey.

    Kscope Music
    (UK) / November 25, 2015

    Forthcoming release:

  • Bruce Soord – “Bruce Soord”

Kscope Music is set to release the first solo album from Bruce Soord, the frontman and creative force behind The Pineapple Thief, on January 22, 2016. The self-titled album was recorded during the summer of 2015 at Bruce Soord's UK studio. All the tracks were written and performed by Soord with Darran Charles (Godsticks) playing additional guitar. Having wanted to make a solo album for many years, Soord found himself taking surprising paths to create this record; here he has explored the softer, dreamier side of his songwriting, more acoustic in nature, while retaining depth in its arrangement. Revisiting his life to find inspiration for the songs, this record is a celebration of the past as much as it is an epitaph of times past. While the songs describe a sense of the past that has been lost, it is also a celebration of Soord's wonderful and artistically decaying childhood town. Soord recently premiered the songs live with a UK tour supporting label mates Sweet Billy Pilgrim. Tracklist: 1. Black Smoke, 2. Buried Here, 3. The Odds, 4. A Thousand Daggers, 5. Willow Tree, 6. Born in Dilusion, 7. Field Day-1, 8. Field Day-2, 9. Familiar Patterns, 10. Leaves Leave Me.
